Sheâs a lively one
Iâll wake up your audience and give them actionable takeaways through sticky storytelling.
At school I was picked as an example of an excellent speaker, and got whisked off to the English Speaking Board examiner training day. Needless to say, Iâve not stopped wanging on about it. My speaker style is enthusiastic cheerleader meets nagging aunt who gives you tough love but has your best interests at heart.

Nice things nice people said
âMel is such a vibrant and brilliant speaker! I loved how she delivered such a memorable slot at Digital Women. Would I recommend her? Absofuckinglutely. Why? Sheâs an absolute superstar, engaging and creative. She uses real world examples and really pushes people into ACTION, Mel is a no-brainer choice as a speaker for your event. If you want her, better get her fast because sheâs IN DEMAND.â
âSuperstar copywriter whoâs one of the few people on the planet to make me do a genuine snort-lol with her stuff every day.â
âMel was such a fantastic addition to our 2023 speaker line-up at the Nottingham Digital Summit. Witty, engaging and incredibly personable, Mel shared her insights on the importance of having a clear Verbal Identity, with humour, experience and confidence. She spoke to a packed room of 200 delegates and was one of our most popular talks of the dayâs agenda. Weâve already asked if sheâll speak again next year - and she better say yes.â
âMelâs talk was brilliant, funny and engaging. I love the way she signposted to other people too and gave strong takeaways. I think as small business owners we can sometimes forget how important tone of voice is. I love the way Mel shares knowledge with people. Sheâs a doll!â
âMel took the stage to talk about why AI will never replace humans and how you really do have to capture the humanity in your brand voice, the humanity, the humour, the uniqueness, the fabulousness. Mel herself is a perfect example of a human whoâs always able to find far more creative and interesting words than any AI ever could.â
âMel is a fantastic public speaker. She really understands the audience sheâs delivering to. Iâve attended two events where Mel was speaking, that I was also speaking at. Listening to her talks always leaves me (and other attendees) encouraged to give something a go. Whether itâs developing your tone of voice or just getting over yourself and posting, she delivers her talk topics in an accessible, easy to listen to, and impactful way!â
âI attended Melâs talk, she was an absolute joy. Engaging, enthusiastic, and funny, Mel filled her informative talk with personality and humour. With genuinely interesting insights to offer, I learnt so much from her in such a short amount of time. Melâs talk was a highlight of the summit.â
âIâd been very excited to hear Mel talk as Iâd been hearing great feedback from her previous speaking gigs. I was not disappointed, she had her audience laughing and relaxed within seconds and gave enough facts to back up her talk without overwhelming her audience or boring them like some do. And the best thing I saw was after her talk, seeing the hashtag she had introduced to people that day appearing everywhere on social media! In the time she talked she had created a community and a following!!â
